Newsstand Stops Shipping LEGO® Magazine Toys to the U.S.
Newsstand.co.uk has notified customers that it will no longer ship LEGO® magazines with the included cover-mounted toy to U.S. addresses, citing tariff and customs costs.
What this means for U.S. collectors
The attached toy—often a limited minifigure or mini-build—is a core part of the magazine’s value for many readers. Without it, the product becomes “magazine-only,” reducing collectibility and resale interest for titles like LEGO® Star Wars™, NINJAGO®, and Super Hero Legends.
Key change: Newsstand magazine shipments to the U.S. will exclude the LEGO® toy going forward. Existing subscribers should check their renewal terms.
Where to still get the toy in the U.S.
Brickheads Toy Company continues to import from authorized European distributors, process customs, and deliver every issue with the toy included from their U.S. warehouse.
- Toy included with each issue
- Ships domestically from the U.S.
- Free U.S. shipping on subscriptions
Why this shift happened
When a magazine ships with a toy, customs treats it differently than printed matter alone. That can mean higher duties and handling fees, making it too costly for UK retailers to mail individual copies overseas.
